About Vicki

I am a qualified teacher and have over 20 years experience of working in schools in a range of roles at both primary and secondary levels. I trained to teach primary aged children and worked as a Senco in three schools and have a wealth of experience in supporting the holistic needs of pupils including difficulties with cognition and learning and emotional health and well-being. I currently work as an Advisory Teacher for a large local authority consulting with schools to manage the needs of individuals linked to learning and behavioural difficulties . I am a qualified teacher and assessor of dyslexia and specific literacy difficulties and hold the Assessment Practising Certificate through the British Dyslexia Association.
I currently offer full diagnostic assessments for dyslexia/specific learning difficulties and can also undertake a shorter assessment of literacy skills that will indicate concerns linked to literacy and may lead to a full assessment. The assessments will provide detailed analysis of strengths and areas of difficulties with recommendations given for school and home. The holistic nature of my experience means I will discuss any concerns beyond the learning need and advise on possible next steps.
